How Your Report Is Built

1. Trait Foundation (Scientific)

We use the IPIP-NEO-60, a public-domain psychometric instrument measuring the Big Five personality traits: Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism.

Each trait is scored using 12 items on a 1–5 scale (total of 60 questions). These items are statistically validated across populations.

2. Trait Band Mapping

Once trait scores are computed (0–100 percentile), each trait is categorized into a symbolic band:

• Low (0–33%)
• Medium (34–66%)
• High (67–100%)

These 5 banded traits create 243 possible symbolic identity combinations. We prioritize interpretive clarity over numeric precision.

3. Symbolic Type Generation

• Symbolic Name: Drawn from your 5 trait bands (e.g., "The Seeker Architect")
• Collapse Arc: Based on Neuroticism + Agreeableness (stress response profile)
• Growth Path: Personalized narrative + ritual structure
• Cognitive/Social/Action Layers: Inspired by MBTI, DISC, and Socionics — never assigned, only interpreted symbolically

Your full report includes identity mapping, collapse loop, growth rituals, shadow points, and narrative reflection.

4. Validation & Transparency

• IPIP-NEO-60 is validated in academic literature with α ≥ 0.8 per trait
• We are conducting alpha tests (n ≥ 300) to confirm symbolic consistency
• All mapping logic and source materials are available on request

5. Interpretive Statement

Lumenism uses symbolic naming and narrative to reflect your identity pattern. These are not medical or diagnostic labels.

Symbolism is not fiction — it is structure, revealed through metaphor.

6. Future Transparency

• Trait-to-symbolic mappings will be published post-launch
• Full quiz logic + alpha validation will be shared for community review
• Report-building prompts will be made transparent to certified partners
